Over the years, I’ve heard stories about married couples and their in-laws. I’ve heard both the good kind and the bad kind and believe me, some of them actually got me a little worried about my own relationship with my soon-to-be in-laws at that time.
Now that I’m married, I realize that I worried for nothing. Admittedly, for a brief period before my husband and I got married, I actually worried about my in-laws accepting me and how I would be with them. I then chose to lift up my worries to God and trusted that when God writes your love story, He’s got your back and covers all the details. I realize now that His plans for my life are perfect and I wouldn’t have them any other way.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11 NIV
In all honesty, I really consider myself extremely blessed.. because He has given me new extended family with whom I can share life and love with. I know not all married couples have good relationships with their in-laws.. And this is why I thank the Lord every day for giving me this blessing. Never have I imagined this love and acceptance that I could (and constantly) receive from my very own in-laws.
In addition to that, it is so very heartwarming to know that, just like my own parents and my sister, my in-laws are also very excited for my baby girl. There is a peace in my heart knowing that Jets, baby Janella, and I are wholeheartedly accepted by both sides of our families.
In light of this, I would like to share with you a few photos from the baby shower my in-laws threw last July 31,2016 for baby Janella, Jets, and I. ❤️
Below are a few photos of those who celebrated our little girl with us!
To my in-laws, thank you for loving and caring for me constantly.💕 You are all blessings in my life. Also, a big big thank you for throwing Baby Janella this baby shower. It was a lovely gathering. 💕
To those who attended and celebrated Baby Janella with us, thank you so much for your time and the gifts you’ve given for our little girl. God bless you all! 😊
